From Our Family to Yours
We are Paul and Ginelle Leblanc, the faces behind Double Bar L Cattle Co. We, along with our three kids, take pride in our family owned business and we are very passionate about raising quality meat, so you- our customers, know exactly where your meat is coming from.
Our ranch is located near Loon Lake, BC where we raise our cattle and kids! We recently started our ranch and take pride in raising our animals on naturally grown range with the best quality grass.
Paul has worked on many ranches prior to starting our own, which helped grow his love for cattle and entrepreneurship. Paul brings 16 years of experience to the care and well being of our livestock and is an extremely valuable part of our business. He is also a welder by trade which comes in handy on the ranch!
Ginelle grew up in the saddle and started barrel racing at a young age. She has a huge passion for the ranch life and couldn't be more proud to be a cowboys wife. Ginelle runs all the behind the scenes including social media and managing orders, and keeps the family and business running smoothly.
Together, we are a team and we work hard to provide you with the best quality meat, from our family to yours.
At DBL Cattle Co, our beef is 100% grass-fed, and grass-finished. As this method of raising the animal is closest to a natural lifestyle for a cow, the cattle are healthy and this is passed on to the meat consumer.
There are several reasons to choose 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef, including a number of significant health benefits. Grass-finished beef is lower in calories compared to grain-finished beef and has higher levels of Omega-3 fatty acids, and Vitamins A and E. We take pride in providing high quality beef that is not only delicious but the best beef for you!
Supporting the beef industry in any way is great, but when you support a local rancher you are in turn supporting your community. Purchasing local beef is crucial for sustaining the ranchers and producers in your area, which puts money directly back into your local economy.
We recently started our venture raising pastured poultry and we are very excited to offer this nutritious chicken to all of our customers. Our poultry is raised in a way that’s consistent with how chickens would naturally live: in a pasture, with the ability to freely roam, scratch, and peck, improving the soil at the same time. Poultry species were born to scratch and peck and that's exactly what they do while being pasture raised.
Our chickens live outdoors on pasture, and we provide shelter so that they can take cover under a roof in the event of a storm or predator attack. Since we have thousands of chickens, we use a mobile shelter, fencing, and water system that fits the size of our operation. We feel this is a natural, healthy ecosystem that allows our poultry to express their instinctive behaviors. We use our mobile coops to move the chickens to fresh grass everyday, which is a regenerative agriculture practice.
In our mobile coops, our chickens are also given access to high quality feed that is a 100% vegetable diet, hormone and antibiotic free, and tons of fresh water. We strive for our chicken to be the healthiest, most nutrient dense on the market.

Grass finished beef means the cattle have grazed on grass for their entire lives, right from birth to slaughter.
Other cattle are fed grass for most of their lives but are then moved to feedlots where they are finished with grain before slaughter.
As mentioned above, beef that’s labelled “grass fed” does not necessarily mean the cows have been fed grass their entire lives – this only applies to “grass finished” beef.
Grass finished cows eat a combination of grass and other forage available. They don’t produce the fat that grain-finished cows produce but their muscles are leaner. The flavour of the beef depends entirely on the fat, which is determined by the cow’s diet. With a more natural diet, the flavours tend to be far richer and “beefier” compared to that of grain finished cattle.
