Our Story

The LeBlanc Family

We are Paul and Ginelle LeBlanc, the owners of DBL Cattle Co. Along with our three kids, we take pride in our family-owned business and are passionate about raising high-quality meat. Our ranch is located near Loon Lake, BC, where we raise our cattle and kids. We started our ranch over 5 years ago and have a passion for this way of life.

Paul has worked on many ranches before starting our own, which helped grow his love for cattle and entrepreneurship. With 16 years of experience, he takes care of our livestock and is an invaluable part of our business. He is also a welder by trade, which is very useful on the ranch.

Ginelle grew up in the saddle and started barrel racing at a young age. She has a huge passion for the ranch life and is proud to be a cowboy's wife. Ginelle manages the behind-the-scenes work, including social media and orders, and keeping the family and business running smoothly.

If You Do What You Love, You'll Never Work a Day in Your Life.

The Russell Family

We are Cooper, Madison, and Jhett Russell. We raise pasture-raised chickens alongside the LeBlanc family.

Our passion for raising our own meat arose a few years ago when we started raising broiler chickens in our backyard. We started with 50 the first year, and we have gradually raised more each year. After hearing from others how great our chicken was, we developed a passion for providing others with ethically raised, nutritious chicken. We decided to make this our full-time gig and raise enough chicken to provide for many other families like ours. After learning about pasture-raised chicken, and it's benefits to the chicken and the consumers, we knew this was the venture we wanted to fulfill.

We are firm believers that everyone should have access to meat that is nutrient-dense and raised in a way that we are proud to talk about.

Cooper has worked many years in the ranching industry and has a passion for ranching and working dogs. You can find him training dogs or on the back of a horse when he's not busy with the chickens.

Madison grew up on a mixed farm in Saskatchewan and has always been passionate about agriculture and the western lifestyle. When she's not busy with Jhett she is helping out with chicken chores, managing and packing orders, and building websites (just like this one!)
